Choose three
You write down what is actually going on in each of the eight areas of your business, fast and messy, and star anything that is costing you money, time or energy. Then you pull the starred items into six honest boxes: what is costing me money, eating my time, draining my energy, what I keep avoiding, what customers notice, what would change a lot if fixed.
You sort what is left by how much difference it makes against how much effort it takes. Then you pick three, write the first step for each, and put a date on your next check in.
What's inside
- A short warm up: where you are starting from, and what has changed since last time
- Map your business across all eight areas, with stars for what is costing you
- What stands out: six boxes that turn a long list into a short one
- Sort what matters: do first, plan it in, easy wins, let it go
- Your three, each with a first step, a reason it matters now, and a date
- Your next check in date, so this becomes a habit and not a one off
What you end up with
Three priorities, a first step and a deadline for each, and a date in the diary for the next one. Monthly works well, quarterly at the very least.

What it works out for you
Your dashboard
Income, expenses and profit for the year, your margin, your average month, your cash position and how many months of runway you have.
Month by month
All twelve months side by side, broken down by income stream and by expense category, so you can see where the money actually comes from.
What to charge
Enter materials, labour, packaging and overhead, set the markup you want, and it gives you a price and the margin that comes with it. There is a second section for working out an hourly rate.
Your stock
List each product once. Units sold, stock remaining and stock value update themselves every time you log a sale.
